About Opus

Our History

Established in 1998, Opus Automation is an engineering manufacturing based company specializing in robotic solutions, and automated solutions, for the North American market. Company founder Peter Young holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; after graduation he worked as a research engineer at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario until 1982, where he was responsible for the implementation of Canada’s first university-based robotics research facility.
