Robotic Loading of a Large Broaching Machine

A double gripper handles a raw casting through semi and fully finished stages. The gripper can pick up the part from either the top or bottom.

The weight of the raw casting and the long reach required to load the broach, created a dangerous situation for any human worker. A KUKA KR125 easily solves this loading problem.
