For this application, Opus installed nine KUKA KR125 robots with double part grippers.

A network of conveyors delivers raw parts to the robots and carries the finished parts out of the cell.

One of the main obstacles--tight production space-- was overcome by maximizing the flexible design features of the KR125 robots while minimizing the actual workspace footprint.

The big parts need tough, industrial components. The KR125 robots from KUKA have what it takes. The grippers alone weigh in at 40kg.
